Frequently Asked Questions:

Membership Fees

There is an annual membership fee of $100 per student (or family) to join Brit Piano, LLC.  This helps cover administrative costs, etc.  All new and returning students must pay to register annually.

Tuition

Tuition can be paid monthly, and there is a discount for prepaid packages for 6-month or 12-month options.  There are no refunds or exchanges.  The ONLY makeup credits are given for teacher absences, or a student absence with 24 hours notice for sickness.  The studio is now full, so it is not feasible to be as flexible as with past years.  However if you have a vacation or special circumstances the schedule can be arranged accordingly with enough notice.  Thank you for your understanding.

About the Teacher

Brittany DeAvila has over 25 years of experience in music performance and education.  She has taught private 1:1 and group lessons to children and adults of all ages in her private studio, both in person and virtually via Facetime, Google Meet, etc.  Her students are local & national in 10 US States, and if you are internationally based she would love to have you as a student as well!

Practice Requirements

Practice requirements vary depending on the student and family's goals.  It is highly encouraged to let the student & teacher decide on practice goals after the first few weeks of lessons in order to set realistic and achievable goals.

Books

Books and supplies recommended will be sent as Amazon Affiliate links.  Typically it is best to start lessons and let the teacher get a feel for the learning style and needs of each student.  Books from previous lessons are welcome, although there may need to be some new recommendations based on the curriculum used.

Recitals

Recitals are in person in Franklin Springs, Georgia.  TBA for Spring 2026.

Audio Engineering

Some classes include audio engineering as a great way to give a purpose to the book work.  Some students may want to record their progress, and one of our students is even on itunes!  Contact Brittany for more info on publishing your music or your child's music.
